Beth & her snail shells.

Beth gets on a mission to collect small things. I have given her the old prescription bottles with labels peeled off and the bags they come in.

Right now her tiny things she collects are snail shells.

But occasionally she finds the snail still inside.

She has collected many of these tiny shells

Here is her on the hunt.

More grateful then I say.

Every evening, my husband sets out my childrens uniforms. He cleans out the lunch box of my son and washes the thermos. He sets out the can of ravioli.

I heat up the ravioli, pack Mikes lunch, make coffee, administer meds, and make sure they are dressed and out the door.

He winds up cleaning up the mess due to time constraints of getting out of the house. He feeds the cats because his bicycle is in the way.

We used to wake up at 7am when my car ran properly. Now, we wake up at 5:40am.

Oct. 28, 2013 [Monday]

Woke up early and enjoyed a cup of coffee (words of wisdom says I should do differently). It was chilly this morning.

My kids and I headed out the door with our jackets on only having to go 1/2 mile. It took over 20 minutes to get our destination due to my daughter thinking I broke the rules at the traffic light when crossing.

Honestly, there is no safe way to cross the intersection for pedestrians. It is a three way stop with no crosswalks or buttons to push. All the traffic on Par St. just came off the interstate and is going to be turning left onto Clay St.  So even when I try to cross Clay St. when they get a red light, Par will be turning onto Clay. I called and told them about it and they are supposed to do a traffic study. We will see.

We just barely made the bus  because of the bickering  and refusing to walk all in the name of me breaking the rules. We wait in the dark at and area that is not well lit and I had to flag down the bus. We had to walk up to the bus. The driver did not initially see us.

So thank God the 102 was running late because we were too. We made it to the village and caught the 443. It was early. We made it to my sons school at 7:18.

Not many cars in the parking lot and his teacher wasn’t there yet. We had to wait to go in and all I could think about was coffee. He finally goes in and Beth and I walk to her school.

Meds must have kicked in because she is happy and wants me to record her singing. She reminds me if myself. I used to sing all the time when I was young, thinking I was gonna be some pop star.

So now I wait for the bus and go home. Today is the day to deliver the meal and help a fellow member out who just had a baby BUT the meal has to be delivered between noon and five.

I leave a bit after noon to go start my journey of picking up my kids but I should have time when I get back. My husband bought the meal and he was home before me. He delivered the meal via bike and  still beat me home. I’m so happy we helped out. It truly makes me feel good inside.

On the walk home we saw a cat. It was white with grey on it. It was cute. My kids wanted it. Lol

We made it home and both my children did their homework. I put in a dvd from the old testament collection and watched some of the videos. One especially caught my eye and I asked my husband to watch it and he did. Can’t remember the name right now.

It was mainly a peaceful evening. I got to talk to my son. He really is doing good despite all the challenges he has to face. I’m so afraid to let go and watch him grow up, make mistakes, &learn from them. It makes me think did I bring him up right with morals and values? I know he’s only 12 but he wants to ride the bus by himself, go to the park by himself (2 blocks away), and try to convince me he’s ready for an “m” rated game. I don’t want him to grow up. He’s so sweet and the world is a filthy place.

Oct. 26, 2013 (Saturday)

Woke up and made breakfast while my husband ran errands. Found out my bank acct was in the negative because I was charge twice for a purchase I made at the beginning of the month. My husband put funds in to get it in the positive.

My son and daughter don’t want to eat cream of wheat. I put vanilla, brown sugar, some cocoa in it and not enough water. Oops. I tell them whoever eats it gets to sleep on the couch.

image

My daughter eats it and realizes she likes it. My son is whining and moaning and then takes off. I let him be in hopes he will cool off on his own and come back. After 1/2 hour, I go to look for him. I drive around some and go back home. Shortly after, he comes home. He was gone 40 minutes so I grounded him to his room for 40 minutes. I told him no playstation.

I let them play outside a bit and Beth collected shells. I listened to the childrens hymns all day.  My husband is the active one. He played soccer or so with them.

image

After listening to hymns, I watched Joseph Smith and the plates of gold

image

Got Beth to shower and shaved Mikes side of his head. He wants to keep his Mohawk and rattail but yet he won’t let me spike it up. Shaved my husbands hair too.

And that’s about it. In bed with my husband now.

Oct. 22, 2013

Woke up at 5:50am. Way too early. Had coffee, yea I got to work on that. Walked my kids to the busstop. Took the #102. Transferred to the 443. Seems the best way yet to get where we are going. Both kids attended school and had excellent days. I was surprised and proud. Went to the WPV and got our toy story reservations on the Disney Infinity from Game stop. My husband works at WPV at Brio and now he is standby crew at game stop. Finally got home. I finished volume 3 of the Modern Buddhism book. Now I can read my LDS stuff I downloaded. Spiritually, I haven’t done anything with reading. That will change soon enough. Decorated a bit more for Halloween. Watched the Goonies. I can’t believe it’s rated PG. I like to go to http://imdb.com and check out info on the actors or movies or history. My husband showed me that site. Well, I think I will read something in the kindle app and call it a night.

I have 3 bus stops near my house. One is .5, then .6, & .7 miles away. Me, being the lazy person I am chose the one that is .5 miles away. I walk on a stretch called Westminster St. I can’t help but notice everything for sale. It’s only .2 miles long.
